Group I plays three matchdays during the group stage of the 2026 tournament. The full match calendar with kickoff times is shown in the matches block on this page — every kickoff is displayed in your local timezone once the page loads.
How does a team advance from Group I?
The top two teams in Group I advance directly to the Round of 32. The third-placed team can also advance if it finishes among the eight best third-placed teams across the 12 groups. Three points for a win, one for a draw; goal difference is the first tiebreaker.
How are ties broken in Group I?
Teams level on points are separated by, in order: overall goal difference, overall goals scored, head-to-head points between the tied teams, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, and finally fair-play points (yellow and red cards). If teams remain tied, a drawing of lots is used.
